This Menger Cat 19 is in great condition and ready to hit the water!

Only one string to pull" -- sailing at its most basic, yet there's plenty of subtle adjustments to get that huge Gaff-rigged main to set perfectly... then (in proof that "old ways work") this fine-entry but broad hull will develop a lot of power from her amazing sail area, easily surprising bigger modern sloops.

The perfect daysailer, with cockpit space for six or eight, with cuddy providing space for the porta-potty and all the guests' gear.  On the other hand, the perfect weekender for a couple, with very long, comfortable v-berths in the elegantly-trimmed cabin.  Un-obtrusive diesel inboard power to put her back to her berth or motor reliably to destination if the wind fails.  Great classic looks that always bring admiring comments from any harbor visited.  Currently, winter-stored on her trailer, come see this modern-construction classic!

The Menger Cat comes from honest workboat stock and shows this by carrying her beam way aft. This means there's plenty of reserve buoyancy so you can utilize the large cockpit without throwing her off her sailing lines. Her generous sail area is workboat style too, so she'll slip along in the lightest of airs. Reef when the wind starts to freshen, but you'll never have to buy or bother with light-air sails. With her fine lines, great sail-carrying ability, and long waterline, she'll give some surprise to larger, more modern yachts. The yacht-style cabin is light and airy with a large hatch and classic bronze cat's eye ports. All interior surfaces are molded fiberglass with smooth gelcoat except for the real ash wainscoting on the cabin sides and the teak and holly sole. Although 19 feet usually makes a diminutive vessel, the Menger Cat is really quite large for her length. There is plenty of storage and a nice homey feeling, even when she's closed up for foul weather. She's big enough to be a real pocket cruiser for a couple, a great weekender for the family, and a very friendly daysailer for eight people. Yet she's still small enough to be easily trailered and can be stored in a garage.

This is an all hand-layed up Fiberglass boat with Isophthalic gelcoat, with five layers of mat and woven roving in the hull and deck. With a white hull and Tan decks with white cabin sides along with non-skid deck, that's molded in. You have a molded cockpit with two lockable hatches and with a centerboard and rudder made of solid fiberglass. The cabin interior has varnished ash wainscoting on the cabin sides and varnished ash drop leaf table on the centerboard trunk.

Come and get your summer sailing adventure started!
