1985 Custom Trumbly 51

location icon Olympia, Washington
Year 1985
Length 51 ft

This is an Ultralight Fast Cruiser made in Gig Harbor Washington by Joe Trumbly who instructed Boat Building at Bates Technical College. It was made as his personal water craft and he cruised it for several years.
The interior is spartan with a nod to keeping things light. The steering gear, chain plates, and other structural elements are exposed yet artfully executed making the interior feel warm but integral to the workings of the boat.
Only 50 hours on the new Westerbeke engine.
